  • How do I purchase tickets or make a reservation for a specific show?

    You can pre-purchase tickets online. If you are having issues, call our box office at 215-496-9001.

  • What are your show times?

    Show times are :
    7:30PM for our Open Mic Tuesdays,
    8:00PM Wednesdays & Thursdays,
    7:00 & 9:30PM Fridays & Saturdays.

  • What does it mean when a show is a "Special Event?"

    Shows that are labelled "Special Event" have restrictions to purchasing tickets. Discounts and promotions are not accepted. Further restrictions may apply.

  • Are there any age restrictions?

    We are a 21+ venue. Minors between the ages of 18 and 20 may be admitted with their parent or legal guardian.

  • What is the difference between Reserved and General Admission seating?

    Reserved tickets are seats that we save for you in the showroom. Patrons who purchase reserved seats will be given the best available seats for the size of their party. These tickets can only be pre-purchased online.

    General Admission tickets are on a first-come, first-sat basis. The earlier you arrive, the better your seating will be. General Admission seats may be pre-purchased online or you may make a reservation over the phone. General Admission tickets expire 45 minutes prior to showtime.

    All reservations, including online purchases, EXPIRE 30 minutes prior to showtime, and ALL tickets are subject to release at this time. If you are running late, please contact the club so we can arrange to hold your seats.

  • What time should I arrive?

    The Lower Lounge, featuring a full bar with food and drinks, is open two (2) hours prior to show time -- grab a bite and wait for your party, or simply indulge. Tickets also become available at that time. The Showroom will open 30 minutes prior to show time. Punctuality pays dividends in fun!

    General Admission tickets expire 45 minutes prior to show time. All reservations, including online purchases, EXPIRE 30 minutes prior to show time, and ALL tickets are subject to release at this time. If you are running late, please contact the club so we can arrange to hold your seats.

  • Does Helium accept credit cards?

    We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and debit cards. No personal checks accepted.

  • What is the refund policy?

    All sales are final. There are absolutely no refunds or exchanges.

  • Is there a drink minimum?

    Instead of a drink minimum, we have a two-item minimum in the showroom (e.g. 1 soda and 1 appetizer) which gives our patrons an opportunity to enjoy the food Helium has to offer. Beverages or food purchased in the lounge before or during the show do NOT count toward the two-item minimum.

  • Should I research the comedian before attending a show?

    Yes. Comedy is subjective and certain comedians are not for everybody. Watching a YouTube clip or reading the headliner's biography is a great way to get insight on the expected performance.

  • What is the Showroom like? How does seating work?

    The showroom arrangement is similar to a cabaret theater – chairs surrounding tables, facing the stage. With friendly and discreet table service, we ensure you won’t miss any of the action.

    Reserved ticket holders are given priority seating nearer the front of the house. General admission seating is on a first-come-first-serve basis.

  • How long do the shows typically last?

    Shows are usually between an hour and a half and an hour and forty-five minutes.

  • Is there a dress code?

    Nice, casual attire.

  • Does Helium offer group discounts?

    We do not offer any discounts on tickets. But for large groups, inquire about our Event Packages so we can offer you other ways to save!

  • Can Helium be rented out?

    Yes! Helium has a wide variety of options when it comes to events. Full room rental, private shows, office parties and any gathering or get-together can be arranged with food and beverage packages. Simply call the club and ask for the group sales coordinator or contact us here.

  • Is there handicapped access to the club?

    Yes. Call our box office for more information!

  • Where can I park near the club?

    There is a parking garage right next to the club as well as multiple parking lots around 20th and Sansom Street.

  • Is your club smoke-free?

    Yes.

  • Does Helium Comedy Club have an "Open Mic" night?

    Helium has Open Mic Night most Tuesdays starting at 7:30 p.m. Sign-up is done online. We also have space available for sign ups in person. Due to time restraints and the number of comedians signing up each week, we cannot guarantee stage time. For more information, please read our rules here.

  • Are cameras allowed in the club?

    Patrons may take photographs BEFORE or AFTER the show. Taking photographs, filming, videotaping or other recording of shows without the written consent of the club and the artist is strictly prohibited. Patrons who abuse this policy will have all content erased and you will be ejected immediately.

  • Do you do anything special for birthdays?

    Complimentary birthday tickets can be redeemed for any non-special show on Wednesdays and Thursdays. If you want to complete the festivities with a cake, please call in your request 24 hours in advance, as we don’t allow outside food. Large parties can contact our Group Sales specialist to make the perfect accommodations.
